After qualifying as an accountant and trying a few different financial roles I started giant almost 30 years ago.

Since then we have navigated our way through constant change forced on our market almost every year by government legislation - okay I am exaggerating but you get the point! My primary focus now is group strategy, culture and people.

In my spare time I get beaten at football by my two boys (annoying!), walk the dogs (I don’t but don’t tell my wife!) and practise the guitar (still useless after 35 years and never admitted to having a guitar until now!)

I am responsible for governance, controls and financial reporting across giant group together with working with the board on business strategy.

Outside of work spending time with my family occupies the majority of my time especially with two young grandsons. Other key interests being music (listening), tv comedies and football (season ticket holder – Queens Park Rangers).

I work with our technology teams to support them in delivering technology efficiently. 

I am also a car nut so can often be found driving, admiring or otherwise enjoying his automotive technology obsession… as often as my wife and family let me.

I am passionate about excellent service – the happier a client is, the easier my job is! I’m inquisitive, like to question and ask “why not?” and push the barrier to make things faster, simpler and easier for our clients (the IT Development team sigh/hide when they see me!). My motto is: “Customer First. Always”

When not working, I like to stick to a regimental cleaning routine (yes, sad I know), watching EastEnders (even sadder) and run around after my young son trying to answer the questions he throws at me… “why don’t jellyfish have eyes?”

I lead our giant finance+ business; I have a passion for supporting our clients’ growth and do this by arming them with a winning combination of great systems and experienced people. Our reason for existence is our customer.

I am a bit of a geek if I am honest and love to read and study new skills. As I travel a lot in the week, I like to spend my spare time with friends and family (which includes my two sons who are in their 20’s – when does the responsibility end?!). I love the great outdoors (as well as a good party) and spend as much time on outdoor activities as possible – rain or shine!! I have recently learnt to row which I am pretty proud of!

I help our agency and hirer clients manage their contingent workers compliantly and cost effectively, using the whole range of giants services and products.  

I also try to balance my love of Blackburn Rovers with my taste for fine wine, wine has been winning in recent seasons.

I am putting my decade of screening experience to good use making sure that our clients get only the very best. I lead a team of screening professionals whilst always looking at innovative ways to expand and improve the service we deliver.

Outside of work I try and grab as much time as possible to indulge my mid life crises on my Harley Davidson. Mostly though, I am going to Boxing, Football, Rugby, Trampolining, Dancing, Musical theatre and Girl Guides in my capacity as official Dad taxi.

Over 13 years with giant, responsibility for our strategic accounts encompassing our corporate clients, recruitment agency and MSP partnerships. Delivering contingent worker onboarding compliance, outsourced payroll and payment options, supply chain management and back-office software solutions.

With 3 kids and a dog, there’s not a lot of spare time…but when there is, mountain biking and an appreciation for craft beer is top of the list!
